So, there I am behind my partially completed kit, minus cymbals and just a few other needed instruments, but I'm having fun. This was once my master bedroom converted into a very cozy practice studio. Living in a condo there are certain limitations for a drummer; neighbors being the biggest one. I'm running all Roland pads and a Yamaha drum machine which will later be used for added inputs.
I have been working with a local musician, A.D Adams, who plays for Crash Street Kids and Glass Heroes and I can not say enough about this gifted man. Not only for his musicianship but for his unique style of teaching. His passion and love of music is exemplified through his presentation and encouraging nature.
It's an experience!
A local Phoenix sensation making music with passion and feeling.
"If you take the image of T.Rex, early David Bowie, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band and mix it with Robin Zander meets Dave Grohl vocal bravado, throw in a pinch of Slade, Ramones, and maybe Mott the Hoople, shaken, not stirred, you get Crash Street Kids. Ryan McKay, A.D. Adams, Ricky Serrano, Ryan "Deuce" Gregory. Their songs are catchy with riffs worthy of any classic 70's rock album."

I met A.D through the encouragement of a freind who knew of my desire to work with a well established musician to help hone my drumming skills. It has been a treat working with A.D and this is my little thank you. A.D takes instruction to a whole new level of learning which is more of an expeirence than a lesson.
Has Sasquatch left Earth for our neighbor planet Mars? A photo released by NASA shows what appears to be a humanoid figure walking the red landscape of the Martian planet. I thought this was interesting but it was later confirmed by NASA officials that the sighting was a uniquely arranged formation of rocks.
This is becoming the Rush page, but I had to share with other fans who may not have heard that the trio has extended the Snakes and Arrows tour into 2008. They are kicking off the show with a first-ever performance in Puerto Rico and then across America and Canada. Visit my link to the Rush home page for a complete tour schedule and I'll see you in the front row in Phoenix.
In keeping with the Rush theme for the day, I ran across these in my local music store when shopping for a new snare stand. They are Pro-Mark sticks, number 747 which are the sticks that Neil uses most. They are light and seem to glide through the air, but I am going to display my set. They came with a nice booklet and some really cool stickers.
OK, I am finished playing salesman for the night. I hope you guys and girls enjoy adding them to your Rush collection.
For you lovers of Rush I thought I'd share that you can pick up a copy, or two, or three limited addition release of Permanent Waves original master recording onto a 24kt gold CD. A dear friend turned me on to this deal knowing my life-long relationship with this talented group. And, having saw them in July I know there are just a few other fans out there.
